Novoment Science Video Challenge

The Novoment Science Video Challenge is one of our flagship enrichment programs—designed to inspire students to communicate science clearly, creatively, and accurately.

Participants create a short explainer video on a scientific topic of their choice. The challenge rewards not only subject knowledge, but also explanation, structure, and storytelling.

How It Works

  1. Choose a scientific topic you care about.
  2. Research it using reliable sources and plan a clear explanation.
  3. Create a 5-minute (or less) explainer video.
  4. Submit your video and registration details through our form.
  5. Participate in the viewing and engagement phase.

Videos will be evaluated on clarity, scientific accuracy, creativity, structure, and engagement.

Judging Model

  • 70% – Judges: Content, accuracy, organisation, and clarity.
  • 30% – Audience Engagement: Views, interactions, and impact.

This model balances careful evaluation with the ability to reach and inspire others.

Why a Science Video Challenge?

Being able to explain an idea is one of the best tests of understanding. The Science Video Challenge gives students a reason to take a topic they care about, understand it properly, and then teach it to others in their own way.

The competition supports Novoment’s broader mission: to combine strong academic preparation with real communication and creativity.
